  • The glitch allowed malicious users to get around security protocols and access personal information if the user visited a malicious site
  • Microsoft has fixed the issue for all Windows Versions including Windows XP
  • Most users will not have to take any action since the fix will be downloaded automatically. However, any customers who do not have automatic updates enabled are recommended to update manually through Windows update as soon as possible.
